Forward to the finale!

I put the PSU in the case.

Then I prepped the motherboard.  It's too late now, but I don't like how close the capacitors are to the heatsink.  I had to use the tip of a screwdriver to get the latches to connect to the PCB's socket.

Before the motherboard goes in I had to play around with the IO shield.  It was about 1mm wider than the slot for it.  About 5 minutes later and a little dremel action took care of it.

I waited a long time for these toy clown shoes to arrive, but finally....

The shoes are real light weight and thin.  To overcome this problem I filled each shoe with expanding foam (Remember R2-D2?)

After 24 hours of dry time I cut off the excess and prepared them for painting.

They are painted to match the case.  Red and Yellow.

Next up was to work on the legs.  The case will be about 1.5 inches off the ground/desktop.  On the underside, I used a spacer above the shoe, then a nut and washer.  On the inside, another washer and nut. The two washers are pressed together from the nuts on either side and create a pancaking of the case bottom.  There will be NO possibility of the case coming off it's feet.

Here's where the spacers went on.  As you can see I used the same plastic for the cables to cover the chrome spacers.  It almost looks like pants!

The washers and nuts were painted red to fit in to the overall look.

They were added to the legs and the feet were completed.

After I finished the legs, I worked on the window lighting.  I glued Red EL Wire to surround the cut.

As you can see it looks real nice.  Not too much lighting from the window to elluminate the inyards, but that will be resolved later with cathodes.
