I tried putting the motherboard in, but this bolt was in the way.

You can see how the standoff is in line with the bolt.

So I chopped it off.

And screwed in the now shorter screw

Once I got the motherboard in I started to reroute the cables. The 12V was easy enough.

And here's with all the cables.

I dropped in the first cathode.

But the other was too thick....

So I shaved it!

Fits perfectly.

I hated all those cables on the bottom so I painted them to match the color.

Then I finally put in the plexi-glass

It's hard to tell, but it's there.

And that's how you CLOWN an old Packard Bell!

The system runs, lights glowing bright

This is with the panel on and only the EL Wire and blow hole fan lit.

And here with the cathodes lit too.

I got a yellow keyboard and mouse combo from frozencpu.com

Time to Accessorize!
Here's the victim. A 15 inch Gateway CRT.

Another of it taken apart.

I sketched the window of where I was to cut.

And then cut it out.

Then cut a plexi glass window to fit.

I cut out a hole for the 80mm exhaust fan

Then the CRT was prepped for painting

And then the yellow went on.

After the yellow paint dried, I mounted the CRT window with Hot glue

Red went around the screen and the base.

Then I put it all together.

And tested it out.

It's actually purple. I don't know why it looks blue.

And it still works too. Imagine if it didn't!

The speakers are last. They came in red and white. The white will soon be yellow.

I aim to impress.
